A BRIEF SPEECH OF EXHORTATION, ENCOURAGEMENT AND ADMONITION TO LAGOS BRANCH BY HIS GRACE, THE MOST REV. PROFESSOR DADDY HEZEKIAH OON, FOUNDER, LEADER AND ARCH-BISHOP OF LIVING CHRIST MISSION INC., PROPRIETOR AND CHANCELLOR, HEZEKIAH UNIVERSITY, UMUDI, IMO STATE ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR REVIVAL SERVICE BY HER GRACE, DISTINGUISHED AMBASSADOR MIGHTY PRINCESS SAMUEL DIVINE-GIFT ONYINYEOMACHUKWU MON, ON SUNDAY, 27TH NOVEMBER, 2022.
My Expression of Gratitude to the Most High God: I bless the holy name of the Almighty God, the faithful God of Israel who through His mercies, steadfast love and abundant grace kept us alive up to this period of the year 2022. As we all know, the year 2022 is characterized by several unpleasant events such as deaths, natural disaster like flood which ravaged and swept away many communities and families in some states of the country thereby bringing untold hardship and sufferings. Sicknesses have also been on the increase thereby claiming lives and dashing the hopes of many families. Hardship occasioned by economic recession and mismanagement have equally increased sufferings. However, in all the above, God’s mercy and faithfulness have abound in our lives. To Him alone be all the glory, honour, power and majesty in Jesus name. Amen!
I also appreciate the living God, my covenant keeping father for the journey mercies He granted my children from their various locations, branches and homes to gather in Lagos branch for this great Revival programme. I am fully aware of the hazards associated with traveling these days as a result of deplorable roads, which in some areas have degenerated into death traps and also insecurities that in some cases result to kidnapping. “If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, let Israel now say-if it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their anger was kindled against us; then the flood would have swept us away, the torrent would have gone over us; then over us would have gone the raging waters. Blessed be the LORD, who has not given us as prey to their teeth! We have escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped! Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 124:1-8). I thank Him for answering my prayers and granting my requests. I am ever grateful to Him. “I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my supplications. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.” (Psalm 116:1-2,8). Also, my commendation goes to the committee and members of Lagos branch for organising this well-timed revival programme aimed at a re-awakening in children of God. Like the Bible states in Proverbs 14:22, “Do they not err that devise evil? Those who devise good meet loyalty and faithfulness.” My children, because you have devised good, I pray to the Almighty God to reward you abundantly with Salvation, Righteousness, Holiness, Fear of God, answered prayers, perfect protections, prosperity, victory over sin and above all, eternal life to His glory in Jesus name. Amen! I am particularly happy with your choice of my beloved child, Her Grace, Distinguished Ambassador Mighty Princess Samuel Divine-Gift Onyinyeomachukwu MON as the Special Guest/Chief Speaker. Because Onyinyeomachukwu has consecrated herself and dedicated her life to God, aspiring at all times to do His perfect will, God in return has sanctified, equipped and empowered her mightily and using her to do great wonders and exploits, and I am convinced that the Almighty God would use her so greatly again in your revival programme to bring total spiritual re-awakening, opening of barren wombs, repentance, prosperity and closer walk with God among children of God.
To all my children who have decided to set aside all their engagements to attend the revival, I commend you even as it is in your best interest to do so because the days are evil and the best thing any child of God can do is to seek God always and draw closer to Him in repentance because according to the Bible in Proverbs chapter 9:12, “If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; if you scoff, you alone will bear it.” More so, Proverbs chapter 8:17, states, “I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.” Hence, I urge you to concentrate maximally and not allow anything to distract you so that your attendance would not be a mere formality. God forbid! I plead with you to endure the inconvinences and make do with the accommodation you are given after all, Christ had already told us that His way is narrow. From Biblical accounts, it is established that anytime an anointed servant of God gathers children of God in prayers and lifts up their voice to God in prayers and supplications, God does not look away, but answers with miracles of diverse nature including deliverance from their enemies and freedom from captivity.
“Then Samuel said, "Gather all Israel at Mizpah, and I will pray to the LORD for you." So, they gathered at Mizpah, and drew water and poured it out before the LORD, and fasted on that day, and said there, "We have sinned against the LORD." And Samuel judged the people of Israel at Mizpah. Now when the Philistines heard that the people of Israel had gathered at Mizpah, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the people of Israel heard of it they were afraid of the Philistines. And the people of Israel said to Samuel, "Do not cease to cry to the LORD our God for us, that he may save us from the hand of the Philistines." So, Samuel took a sucking lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the LORD; and Samuel cried to the LORD for Israel, and the LORD answered him. As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to attack Israel; but the LORD thundered with a mighty voice that day against the Philistines and threw them into confusion; and they were routed before Israel.” (1st Samuel chapter 7:5-10).
Consequently, I urge you to free your minds and be determined to receive your blessings from the Almighty God. Do not harden your heart or allow yourself to be deceived or carried away by the influence of those who went to Lagos branch to fulfil all righteousness. “Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, "Today, when you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the wilderness, where your fathers put me to the test and saw my works for forty years.” (Hebrews chapter 4:7-9).
My Encouragements to My Beloved Child, Mighty Princess Onyinyeomachukwu: My beloved child, Onyinyeomachukwu, a child after my heart and in whom I am well pleased, let me first congratulate you on your well-deserved National Award, Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) given to you by the Federal Government of Nigeria on Tuesday, 11th October, 2022 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, Nigeria. The apple of my eye, Onyinyeomachukwu, you are truly great. Once again, congratulations. You have distinguished yourself by your extreme love for God and His children and your unwavering commitment and dedication to the things of God. Your life, utmost desire and food have always been to do the perfect will of God, as a result, God has always been with you and answered your prayers. “We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him.” (John 9:31). ONYII NWAM, you have done so much for Living Christ Mission and humanity. Your Pacesetting life of hard work have changed many, even as many people mostly the youths across the branches of the church are making very strong resolutions and committed efforts to change and draw closer to God in righteousness and commitment because of you. You have not only revived several branches and wings of the church including individuals, you have equally overhauled the church administratively, liberated it from stinginess/stagnancy and most importantly, you have given me rest and great assurance that my labours shall never be in vain. It gives me great joy when I see you following my footsteps obediently and meticulously, copying me, being patient and merciful towards people. Irrespective of your elevation, you are humble and respectful to all especially your elders. Little wonder people say, “Like father, like child.” Hence, I am proud of you. Your hard work, super dedication and strong resolutions have reclaimed the stagnant years of the church and moved it to great and enviable height. God in recognition of your unstained and incomparable devotion has blessed you exceedingly and lifted you high above your contemporaries to the points of making you His anointed prophetess. More so, because you have made the good Lord your refuge and habitation, let me assure you that you shall continue to be like a tree planted by the streams of waters that bears its fruit in its seasons and its leaf does not wither. (Psalm 1:3, Psalm 93:12-15). In all you do my beloved and holy child, you shall prosper greatly in Jesus name, Amen. I truly wish you well.
As you conduct the revival for God’s children in Living Christ Mission in general and Lagos branch in particular, I want you to be courageous and bold. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9) and “What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us?” (Romans 8:31). I pray that God will use you greatly to achieve His divine purpose in the lives of His children in Jesus name. Amen! May your words come out through the power of the holy spirit, breaking barriers and shattering the stronghold of all enemies of righteousness and opening the way to salvation, righteousness and holiness to the glory of His holy name in Jesus name. Amen! I pray that you return as a warrior with uncountable great testimonies of God’s faithfulness and power. You did it in Enugu State including Nsukka, Mgbidi Awgu, Achi and Abakaliki in the year, 2021, through the power and anointing of God, and because it is forward EVER and backward never in God, you shall do greater exploits this time around in Jesus name. Amen!
My Advice to the Members of Lagos branch: As I stated earlier in the beginning of my speech, I commend you greatly for this great initiative and thirst after righteousness. Revival is a spiritual exercise through which God spiritually reawakens his children hence, I want you all to attend it fully prepared and with faith in the Almighty God to enable you receive His blessings. “And without faith it is impossible to please him. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, took heed and constructed an ark for the saving of his household; by this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which comes by faith.” (Hebrews chapter 11:6-7). Because God is spirit and all those who would worship Him must worship Him in truth and in spirit; therefore, it is not a jamboree or a gathering to meet old friends and make new ones, rather, an opportunity to meet God and receive from Him. As you consecrate yourselves, I pray God to meet you at the points of your needs and answer your prayers according to His will in Jesus name. Amen!
Advice to Children of God: My beloved children, setting aside all your businesses, official engagements and others to be in Lagos despite the hardship in the country is an indication that you believe in and love my God and I commend you for it. Last year, when my holy and beloved child, Mighty Princess Onyinyeomachukwu went to Enugu State and Abakaliki, you went with her and kept her company till she came back. This year also, when she went to Abuja to receive Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) award, you went with her and stayed with her from Monday 10th October, 2022 to Friday, 21st October, 2022. Now again, you are in Lagos with her for a revival visit. I sincerely advise you to remain focused to the reason for your visit, which is to be revived by the Almighty God. It will be a great loss, shame and disappointment for anyone to be going for all these outings and receiving no blessings from the Almighty God. Let me warn and as well remind you that God will not bless you for merely going to Lagos, but will bless those who go there genuinely, having committed themselves to prayer to receive blessings from God as against those who may have gone there hypocritically or to look for handsets, money or other things to steal. Remember that all the while that Judas was busy pretending to be a serious and committed apostle, but stealing from Christ, to him, Judas, he was smart, but a day came when he reaped the fruit of his deceitful life. Galatians chapter 6:7-8 “Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”
To my real children, I want you to separate yourselves from those whose aim is not to serve God including the wicked, sinners and scoffers.
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore, the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.” (Psalm chapter 1:1-6).
Also, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and reject not your mother's teaching; My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent. My son, do not walk in the way with them, hold back your foot from their paths; for their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed blood. Such are the ways of all who get gain by violence; it takes away the life of its possessors. Give heed to my reproof; behold, I will pour out my thoughts to you; I will make my words known to you. For the simple are killed by their turning away, and the complacence of fools destroys them; but he who listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of evil.” (Proverbs chapter 1:7-8, 10, 15-16, 19, 23, 32-33). One thing I can assure you is that my God is just, holy, merciful and faithful. He answers all the prayers of those who seek Him in pure heart and blesses them with every good thing. “For the LORD God is a sun and shield; he bestows favor and honor. No good thing does the LORD withhold from those who walk uprightly.” (Psalm 84: 11) and “The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The LORD is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made.” (Psalm 145: 8-9). I pray that you shall not come back empty-handed, rather, with blessings and testimonies of the goodness of my faithful Father, Jehovah.
Conclusion: Once again, I thank the Almighty God for His goodness towards Living Christ Mission. I commend Mighty Princess Onyinyeomachukwu, Princess Chukwunazaekpere, Lagos branch and all those who stay back to take care of me and the church Compound in Onitsha including who could not go because of one commitment or the other. I pray God to bless you but in all you do, always bear in mind, “The LORD is with you, while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.” (2nd Chronicles 15:2). And, “For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.” (Romans chapter 2:13). As a kind and good father who desires the BEST for His children, especially ETERNAL LIFE, “If you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you this day, by loving the LORD your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his ordinances, then you shall live and multiply, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you are entering to take possession of it.” (Deuteronomy chapter 30:16), “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;” (Isaiah chapter 1: 19). I wish you journey mercies, Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year, 2023 in advance in Jesus name. Amen!
ONYII NWAM, the LORD bless you and keep you: The LORD make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you: The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.
My Own Beloved, Holy and Faithful Child, May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you in Jesus name Amen.
